My background has always included photography. Like many kids growing up, I had an interest in cameras. I can remember going into the back yard as a child and using the flash to illuminate the night sky. I have always been captivated by photographs and have often found myself looking at “this week in pictures” on various websites. The idea of professional work developed for me as I shifted my focus from cameras and pictures to composition and lighting.
My background has focused largely on my own education. I began college thinking I would become a lawyer. In taking required general education courses in biblical studies I quickly discovered my love for the biblical languages of Greek and Hebrew. I obtained my BS in Biblical Studies with a focus on interpretation. I started a masters program in New Testament studies with hopes next starting a Ph.D. program and dedicating my life to teaching and research. With one year left to go in my master’s program, I felt the need to focus on healing the sick and switched my attention to nursing. I quickly obtained my BSN and also completed my master’s in nursing. My background has brought a lot of variety, but my primary occupation remains as a Registered Nurse. I pursue photography as a part time business, but like everyone with a part-time business would tell you, it has full-time hours! My schedule allows me to have some flexibility, but time is somewhat limited. Make sure to check the schedule for available time slots.
Why I Do Photography
I believe in individuality and expression of self. That core belief is an integral part of everything that happens at Kyle Rinker Photography. Photography started for me because of a passion for capturing unique images. I love going back and looking at old photos. I love doing photography because it brings me back to memories otherwise forgotten. How many times have you looked back at old photos and thought, “Wow, I forgot all about this!” It brings back a flood of emotions. Kyle Rinker Photography exists because I want my clients to remember the joys in life–the individuality expressed in our premier senior pictures; the feeling of bliss on a wedding day; the way life changed when a baby came into the world; the joy that family life brings.
Taking photos for clients is a privilege because it allows me to record their history in a way that provides an enduring legacy. I want my clients to be able to express themselves in their photo sessions–not just have the same session that everyone else has. Everything about your session is customized to you and the experience you are looking for. Do you want to create a story with your pictures? Do you want to recreate a scene from a movie? Do you want to include your favorite activities? We’ve got you covered.
